The Spring Enduro entry form is now available!
The 2010 Spring Enduro entry form is now available for download and can be found on the Event Schedule page. You'll notice that the entry fee has gone up this year. This is because our rent for the track has significantly increased and right now we have no choice but to raise the entry fee.
New for 2010: if you have a current membership to an auto-cross club, you will get the member price on the entry fee to any of our events. All you need to do provide proof of current membership when you register.
SSCC forum now available
We now have a forum for our club. It is a sub-forum on a local motorsports forum; you will have to join the forum to post. This is a great area where we can discuss issues, suggestions, etc pertaining to our club and events. Feel free to join the forum and participate. From time to time, we will post issues that warrant further discussion, so feel free to visit frequently and let your voice be heard.

This year we are faced a higher track rental fee, raised by almost %100 from last year! During our January meeting, we discussed a few ideas to help us make sure we can cover the almost $1200 cost (rent plus insurance) of each event this year. The ideas we discuss are as follows:
- Raising the entry fees for practice and the event.
- Having a single day event on 1 or 2 of the events in the summer when turn-out is historically low. We could have a Saturday race with practice in the morning and the event in the afternoon noon. This would allow us to still have practice on Friday.
- We could sell tickets on practice day instead of charging 1 entry fee. Each ticket is a trip out on the track.
- We could find a large parking lot and have a cone course (we are an auto-cross club) for an event.
We also discussed creating some signage that would let more people know where we are. This might bring in more participants.

We have received some feedback we'd like to share.
- Have 2 single day events during a weekend. Have practice the first half of the day and the event during the second have.
- Have a Time Attack event. This could be several attempts at 2 or 3 enduro laps.
This year’s Hill Climb is tentatively planned for the weekend of June 12 – 13. This year, the hill Climb will be chaired by Jim Puehl. Stay tuned for details.
News about the planned 2 mile road course:
There will be having a public meeting for the Sports Park Master Plan from 6:00-7:30 PM on February 9th, at the Jackson County Expo Center (Mace building). In an effort to obtain a high level of public input and involvement, I am asking for your help in publicizing the event. If you know of any interested parties that would like to participate in planning for the park's future, please inform them of the meeting and encourage them to attend. If they cannot attend the meeting, the design options will be posted on our Jackson County Parks website starting February 9th. Interested parties can provide comments via this website as well.
